PRBee vs Devin
Devin is Cognition's hosted coding agent, with Devin Review for pull requests, billed by plan and usage. PRBee is an app on your own machine that drives the Claude Code or Codex you already pay for, and does the work that follows a review on your own pull requests.
| PRBee | Devin | |
|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | On your own Mac, Windows or Linux machine. Your code goes only to GitHub and to the agent provider you already use. | In Cognition's cloud, one isolated machine per session. Enterprise adds a dedicated single-tenant deployment. |
| Which model | Your own Claude Code or Codex, signed in with your account or an API key. | Cognition's SWE-2 and frontier models from several providers, chosen inside Devin. It does not take your own model API keys. |
| Price | $5 a month or $50 a year for one license, which runs on 2 machines. 30 days free, no card. Your agent's usage is billed by Anthropic or OpenAI, within cost ceilings you set. | Free with a light quota. Pro $20 and Max $200 a month for one member. Teams $80 a month plus $40 per full seat, up to 200 users. Enterprise on request. Usage past the plan's quota is billed at API pricing. |
| Reviews | Reviews your colleagues' PRs and your own drafts in a full checkout of the repository, at the depth you choose: the diff alone, its direct neighbours, targeted searches, or the whole code path from the entry point down. A finding it cannot verify in the code is not posted. | Devin Review reviews pull requests when you comment /devin review, open it in the web app, or set auto-review rules for when a PR is created or ready. |
| Review cost | No per-review credits. A deeper review spends more of your own agent's tokens, inside the per-job ceiling you set. | Each review draws on your usage; its docs size reviews from under 2.25 to over 18 ACUs. Two efforts: normal, and ultra at a higher cost. |
| After the review | Works through your own PRs on its own schedule: answers each review thread with a commit and a reply, fixes red builds, resolves conflicts, keeps branches current, and merges when you switch that on. A thread it cannot decide is held for you. | Answers comments on pull requests its own sessions opened, and can start a session to fix the bugs it found and failing required checks. Its docs we checked do not mention merge conflicts. |
| Learning | Keeps lessons from what your reviewers catch, and follows your CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md and .claude/rules files. | Reads AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md and REVIEW.md files in the repository. |
| Who it covers | The GitHub account you sign it in with. Each developer who wants it runs their own copy. | The repositories an organization admin connects through its GitHub App, for the organization's members. |
